On the trail of traditional Alpinism, you are travelling through the Messner Mountain Museum "Corones", which is located at 2,275 metres in elevation am Plan de Corones. In this spectacular structure, which will open in 2016, the southern Tyrol extreme athlete Reinhold Messner will present some Alpine stories which have had a decisive effect on his life. From San Vigilio, the museum can be reached by foot in about a 4-hour hike. Business hours: from the first Sunday in June until the 2nd Sunday in October and from end November to mid-April (according to the business hours of the cable railway).
